Digital Signature
A certificate-based digital signature is a type of e-signature that complies with the strictest legal regulations — and provides the highest assurance of a signer’s identity. It is a mathematical scheme for verifying the authenticity of digital messages or documents. A valid digital signature, where the requirements are satisfied, gives a recipient a very strong reason to believe that the message was created by an authentic known sender and that the integrity of the message was not altered in transit.
